Squidoo Payment November 10 2008

Written by kristen on November 11, 2008 – 3:49 am -

I don’t know about you, but I received my Squidoo earnings today, Novermber 10, 2008. Unfortunately for me, my payment was a lot lower this month than it was last month.

Earnings: $18

Last month earnings:  $36

Previously, I made even more, but I sold 22 of my lenses….including my BEST ONE!!! Glad to see it’s still doing well, but I’m not the one earning from it now. That’s the thing…once you transfer your lens to a new lensmaster…all earnings go to that lensmaster too!!! Remember that.

Guess it’s about that time to start creating more Squidoo lenses. I think I will create some holiday lenses since Thanksgiving and Christmas are fast approaching.

How were your earnings this month?

Add Flash to Your Squidoo Lens

Written by kristen on November 3, 2008 – 7:35 pm -

Now you can add flash to your Squidoo lens… something that was not possible before.

I have come across a wonderful little tool that allows you to add flash (swf) files to your Squidoo lenses. It does not work with every swf file, but I have found that it works on 99% of the swf files I tried.

Check out ClearSpring.com and start adding flah games and flash movies to your Squidoo lenses to get more visitor participation.

Creating Squidoo Lenses to Find Your Niche Experiment

Written by kristen on October 14, 2008 – 6:50 pm -

Do you use Squidoo as part of your current SEO marketing campaign? We all know that a good lens can have traffic and ranking power!

Let me guess … you build Squidoo lenses to drive traffic and boost rankings to your current web sites, correct?

Have you ever thought of creating a Squidoo lens first? I don’t think many people do this. I mean, what better way to find hidden niches right? Squidoo can help you find a niche and build on that niche.

Try experimenting with this. Create a few squidoo lenses (about 10 of them) on different subjects. Market them through submitting to directories, blog commenting, social bookmarking and article marketing. Then sit back and track which ones, if any, are gaining good traffic after a few months. If you found a good niche, build a blog/site on the same subject as the lens. Then create hyperlinks (especially in the first paragraph of the lens) on your lens that lead to the new site you created.

It can be a win win situation…. you could find a good niche, build a great lens, build a great site and earn from all.

Squidtop - Showcase your Squidoo Lenses

Written by kristen on June 28, 2008 – 5:00 pm -

I love anything new that has to do with Squidoo. And recently I came across a great new site while chatting over at the Squidu forum. SquidTop was created by Captain Squid, Loyalis. It’s a custom blogging platform for Squidoo lensmasters to showcase their lenses to the world…or at least other SquidTop members.

If you are familiar with Wordpress blogging, then this will be simple as pie to setup. Just grab yourself a SquidTop blog and start posting, adding widgets and more. This is a great way to gain backlinks and exposure for your lenses.

Squidoo: Made Top 100 and Number 1

Written by kristen on March 22, 2008 – 3:04 pm -

If you are a Squidoo user, you may want to read this post… and if you are not, then maybe you should join now. Squidoo lenses have sent hundreds of quality, unique visitors to my sites.

Top 100 and Number 1

One of my Squidoo lenses made it into the Top 100 Squidoo lenses list about a month ago. And….it also made it to #1 in my selected category! And it is still #1. I’m not going to reveal the category or lens because that would just create more competition. You know that’s true. However, I will share with you how I did it…

What did I do to rank in the Top 100 and what can you do to achieve this?

Get Paid to Squidoo

Written by kristen on March 19, 2008 – 9:45 pm -

Do you Squidoo? We sure do and we certainly have good reason to!

Squidoo is a fun way to earn some extra cash online. Plus, you can learn interesting new things along the way.

What is Squidoo?

So what is Squidoo and how do you use it? Squidoo is similar to a small blog or wiki page, but with more features. It’s a Social Web 2.0 Program where you can create a profile to share with friends and create mini pages (known as lenses) about a particular topic you are interested in…or not. See, if you have no knowledge of a topic you decide to create a page around, it turns into a learning experience that is fun.

Google seems to love Squidoo and the thousands of lenses(pages) tend to rank well. And many lenses are raking in good amounts of search engine traffic. It could be the use of tags, the unique content, the different modules(content widgets) you can add or the long tail keywords many are making use of. Whatever the reason, Squidoo keeps moving forward and is one of the easiest ways to make money online.

How do I make money?

So how do I make money on Squidoo? Simple! After you build your lenses and optimize them, the next step is to promote them by submitting them to directories and social bookmark sites. Then create 1 article per lens and submit the articles to article directories. Once traffic starts to roll in and you build backlinks, this causes your lensrank number to move lower and lower. The lower your lensrank, the higher earnings you can make. On top of that, you can earn money from some of the content modules you place on your lens such as Ebay and Amazon. If someone visits your lens and purchases something from those modules, you earn a royalty percentage.

Earn More With Squidoo

So you’re already earning some extra cash from the lenses you created, right? And now you want to earn more on Squidoo. So where do you start? Well, if your lenses already have traffic, now is the time to monetize your lenses with affiliate products. If you have your own Ebay or Amazon affiliate account, you can use your custom affiliate links to earn 100% profit instead of a percentage from the squidoo modules. On top of that, you can also use other Affiliate programs such as Commission Junction (CJ), NeverBlueAds and more.

If you have a web site or blog, you can use your Squidoo lenses to send traffic to your sites. You can add hyper links, image or your RSS feed. Squidoo sends real visitors who are interested in the products you have to offer.

Get started building your lenses by joining Squidoo today!
